What is a Disciple-Making Dad?
In my current role as family pastor, I’m tasked with helping parents see themselves as God sees them, as those primarily responsible for helping their kids recognize their sin, trust in Christ for salvation, and grow up into spiritual maturity. I like to think of this as being a “Disciple-Making Parent.” In my own life this title has become something that I want to live up to. I don’t ultimately want to be a soccer dad, a mathlete dad, the funny dad, or the absent dad. I want to be a disciple-making dad.
